Matt Perez here. Since founding Rescue the Perishing International, I've had the privilege of seeing children given opportunities they never thought possible through education. Our mission is simple: Connect sponsors with children who desperately want the opportunity to attend school.

In parts of Pakistan, children as young as six work long hours in dangerous brick kilns instead of sitting in classrooms. Many never learn to read. Most never finish high school.

Without an education, poverty often continues from one generation to the next.

But there is hope.

Education can change everything.

A child who receives an education gains opportunities that simply wouldn't exist otherwise.

But what does hope actually look like?

Meet Aiman

In 2025, Aiman both broke her arm and dislocated her shoulder. Her prospects were grim, with her most likely future being work in a brick kiln. But that same year, a donor named Paul chose to become her sponsor. Today, she has the tuition, books, uniform, school supplies, and support she needs to attend school consistently. She now dreams of becoming a professional so she can help lift her parents out of poverty.

And all it took was one person who chose to help.

The Story

In 2024 my ministry colleague Irfan called me about children trapped in poverty in Punjab. We raised emergency funds, but I soon realized that one-time donations weren't enough. Children didn't just need emergency help—they needed someone willing to invest in their future month after month.

That's why Rescue the Perishing International was founded—to connect faithful sponsors with children who simply need someone willing to invest in their future.
